Rich creamy desert - that is full of plant protein.

A perfect snack for menstrual days that satisfies chocolate cravings.

About this dish

Just 6 ingredients.

For when we want a little sweet treat.

Something that is sweet, buttery and satiating.

A snack that has a hearty serving of plant-protein and a chocolate bar inside.

YUM!

I love to make this mousse anytime and especially when preparing for my Menstrual Cycle. I make this ahead of time, to be able to reach for a delicious magnesium-rich snack.

Turning a dark chocolate bar into something even more nutritious and food-centric.

Silken tofu creates a wonderful airy consistency that gives this recipe a mousse-like texture. It being relatively flavorless, it carries & amplifies the rest of the ingredients.

It takes just a few minutes to make and is ready after one night in the fridge.

Enjoy -

Servings: 4-5

  • about 397 grams Silken Tofu (I use this brand)

  • 1 Dark Chocolate bar (I love this and this brand)

  • 1 tbsp Cacao Powder

  • 1-2 tbsp Maple Syrup

  • 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Vanilla

  • Into a blender, add all ingredients

  • Blend on low/medium until creamy smooth - ensuring all lumps are smoothed out

  • Place Mousse mixture into an airtight container with the lid on (we use a rectangular glass food container with a lid)

  • Place Mousse in fridge for 6 hours - overnight

  • Enjoy the Mousse as is, with fresh berries on top, or with some coconut shavings/granola

  • Keeps in the fridge for 4-5 days
